Compassionate nurse, Jesus in the CCU, Jesus with a Nurse, Nathan Greene Nurse painting, Nurse, Nurses, The Healer
For many years I have been asked about creating a painting to honor the profession of Nursing. Yesterday, March 20, I finally finished it. “The Healer” 54″ x 42″ Oil on Linen
I posted photos of “The Healer” on Facebook and was overwhelmed by the flood of responses! I guess I did not realize how many nurses are out there and how passionate they are about their work. Some of your stories brought tears to my eyes! I cant thank all of you enough for reminding me what it is really all about! Thanks so much!
For all who have been asking about prints of “The Healer” I talked with my agent and publisher this morning. It usually takes about 2-3 months from the time a painting is complete until prints can be released. It must go through a process of drying, varnishing, shipping, scanning, proofing, then printing. We are going to try to expedite that whole process if we can. In the meantime, if you would like to be notified when the prints are released, you can contact my publisher: Hart Classic Editions, just call: 1 (800) 487-4278 or go to the website: http://www.NathanGreene.com

Oil Wash/Mixed Media on Illustration Board, 30″x40″
Final Illustration depicting a Noble Couple looking at A new Large Folio edition of the King James Bible. First printed in 1611, the folio edition was only for church pulpits for the first year. The first private individuals to own one would have been of the wealthier classes. This is why I have chosen to depict a Noble Couple around the year 1613.
