NASA
In the early 1990s I was honored to participate in the NASA art program. By invitation of NASA art director Bob Schulman, I was able to witness and artistically document various aspects of the Space Shuttle program, including Astronaut training, Shuttle launches and landings, Engine testing and early space station planning.
Historical Collection
In recent years I have been fortunate to find clients who share my interest and have commissioned artworks inspired by history and particularly featuring men of great integrity, decency and courage.
Nature
As a boy, my brothers and I would pack our rucksacks with field guides, binoculars, and snacks (of course) and head out for a day of exploring meadows, rivers, and forests. Between excursions, using materials provided by my mother (also an artist), I created drawings and paintings of the animals, birds, and plants we studied.

A New Birth of Freedom
Lincoln at Richmond, April 4,1865
On April 4, 1865, President Abraham Lincoln came to see first hand the long sought after prize of the Civil War, the confederate capital Richmond Virginia. Just a day and a half earlier the confederate government had abandoned their capital, leaving part of the city in flames and destroying the bridge across the James river to slow the Union army's pursuit.
